My college degree is a BA Fashion Design + Marketing and for five years I had a swimwear brand, Bikini Colada. We couldn’t afford a photographer so my partner gave me his camera and entrusted me to capture what we needed. This was over a decade ago and I have since built the beginnings of a name for myself locally as a fashion photographer. (Fashion Designer…not so much)
Gear: Canon 70D EOS. 24-75mm lens, 50mm lens, 70-200mm lens
Update: Sony A7 iii camera, mirrorless with lens adapter.
The Breakdown: I enlisted the same photography group that was “all men” (it wasn’t really) to help me spread the word about this event as they had the largest social reach and worked with three co-producers who brought a lot of value to the project.
I introduced the idea of “featured guests” that would both lend credibility to our concept and attract more potential attendees via their followings.

Behind the scenes of directing the models on a shoot. I wanted some shots of the designer with her hats on the models.
Intro and outro animations – Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects
RLP and Texas Seen TV Video
I was commissioned to cut together footage of a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band from multiple cameras and make a video of their original song.
The brief didn’t call for the animations in depth but I saw a great opportunity to put something fun together that highlighted the live music style. The client was very happy with it.
Everything was custom illustrated in Adobe Illustrator, the logos were vectorized and then pulled into Adobe After Effects for animating.
You can watch the full video here.
RLP Logo intro
When I was cutting videos for RLP I want to make something more dynamic for the intro.
I set up the record player and lights, took apart their logo after vectorizing it, and made this fun intro piece.
