Print Design

Designs for physical products and materials

Physical Products

Print Design: These are materials that I have created from scratch, typically. I particularly enjoy layout design, I am a long time subscriber to print magazines such as Kinfolk, GQ, Elle, and Nylon. I have designed multiple catalogs that have gone to print.

The Goal: Create clean, exciting visuals for the target audience. I think people love beautiful work, so no matter the content it must be
visually appealing.

The Breakdown: Because I work primarily for businesses, they are always in need of materials such as business cards, brochures, catalogs, signage, and packaging.

Catalogs

These catalogs for Green Oasis were a major component of our sales efforts to get our products in front of Interior Design firms across the US.

Every year I would redesign/update these catalogs to better showcase the product, the information and process, update project photography, and improve upon any design elements.

Sample Packaging

Because of the uniqueness of preserved Moss Walls, our physical samples were an integral part of the sales process. My task was to design/source packaging that would A) be appealing to recipients B) be able to hold a semi-messy product through the shipping process and C) fall within our budget. We went through several iterations over the years, and every design met these requirements.

Sample Packaging Design

A few examples from the packaging designs I came up with over the years. Some were custom die boxes and others were ULINE boxes that we sent to printers. Ultimately the most cost effective and visually appealing solutions were ULINE gift boxes with custom stickers I designed.

One of our first custom sample boxes was going way out of budget with the need for an insert to hold the moss in place and look attractive.

What we ended up coming up with (owner and myself) is a one-piece trifold box that has the insert as a part of the the singular die.

We made punch-out pieces and had the moss types pre-labeled into the design of the box. We included moss samples and our acoustic felt substrate sample.
